Trip Destinations – Choose Between 3 Iconic Destinations

Set Sail to the Remote Islands of the Indonesian Archipelago

Indonesia is the ideal destination for those who love to cruise the ocean. As the world’s largest archipelago, there is four times more water than land, so it makes sense to get wet to see the best of this beautiful country as it is best seen from the deck of a boat. Cruise Komodo from May to October, Banda Islands in April and November and Raja Ampat from December to April.

Komodo National Park

Home of the mystical Komodo Dragons, this UNESCO World Heritage site stretches 1,733 square kilometres, encompassing three main islands—Komodo, Padar, and Rinca. Below the water, multi-hued coral gardens are a diver’s dream. Expect to see manta rays, ribbon eels, sea turtles, and shimmering schools of fish.

Raja Ampat

More than 1,500 wild islands, cays and shoals make up Raja Ampat’s 40,000 square kilometre area, which lies on northwest tip of the Bird’s Head Peninsula in Papua (New Guinea). Underwater, the marine habitats are among the most biodiverse in the world with 1,200 species of fish and 550 species of hard and soft coral.

Banda Islands

The volcanic Banda Islands are as rich in history and natural beauty as they are remote. Centuries ago, this tiny archipelago in Maluku was the world’s only source of nutmeg, the ‘gold of the spice trade.’ Today, only adventurous travellers make the trip—and are rewarded with bygone colonial architecture, buzzing spice markets, and postcard-pretty scenery.
